Rachael Amy McKinney BSc BVSc PgDip AFHEA MRCVS

First Opinion Equine Clinician

 

Rachael qualified from the University of Bristol in 2018 with an intercalated degree in Veterinary Medicine and Bioethics. She then undertook a one year post-graduate at the University of Bristol's Equine Hospital, furthering her interests in medicine and lameness.

Rachael worked at the UK's largest horse sanctuary, Redwings, where she developed a keen interest in welfare and behavioural work. After a period in first opinion practice, she joined the Cambridge team in 2021.

She enjoys all aspects of medicine, lameness, dentistry and surgery, and particularly teaching our students. She is completing a Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice in Equine Orthopaedics and Lameness, with a particular interest in performance lameness.
