Professional history

Valentina graduated with honors from the University of Milan, Italy, in 2005. Prior to joining the University of Cambridge she worked for one year in a private practice in the UK (small animals) and for five years for the PDSA (UK small animal charity). She then completed an internship and an ECVS approved residency at the University of Cambridge and became a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2019. Valentina is currently an Affiliated Lecturer in Small Animal Surgery at the University of Cambridge.

Clinical and research interests

Valentina is interested in all aspects of small animal surgery and is currently working on two research projects: a study on the evaluation of bone mineral density of the canine tibia and the biomechanical testing of a novel construct for extra-capsular repair following cranial cruciate ligament rupture in dogs.
