At the Queen’s Veterinary School Hospital in Cambridge, our Oncology Team is proud to care for pets with cancer.
Every day, our skilled and compassionate Oncology Team go above and beyond - not just for our patients, but for their families too. We combine world-class clinical excellence with deep empathy, taking the time to truly listen, support, and work alongside pet owners to achieve the best possible outcomes and provide the highest standard of compassionate, personalised care to every patient.
While we may not be able to reverse the course of disease for every pet, we aim to extend and improve quality of life through treatments that are tailored to each patient and their family’s needs - going above and beyond to ensure that every animal entrusted to our care feels safe, supported, and loved.
With our hospital open 24/7 and access to a wide range of veterinary specialists, we’re here to offer continuity of care and support every step of the way.
This is more than simply veterinary medicine. It’s a team of people making a real difference one patient, one family, one moment at a time.
Tom, our Senior Clinical Training Scholar in Oncology said:
'I love this job because it really matters. It’s not just about treating cancer - it’s about helping families through something incredibly difficult days with honesty and compassion. Sometimes we can offer treatment and more time, and sometimes it’s just about making sure our patient is comfortable and cared for. Even when we can’t change the outcome, we can still make the experience a little less overwhelming.'
More stories to come - look out for Cato, Dougie, Bailey, Magnus and Kimi throughout October!
