We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our expanding nursing team at the Queen's Veterinary School Hospital as a Specialist Nurse working with as part of the Cardiology team.

The Cardiology service is a key part of our multidisciplinary referral hospital, and requires close communication with the other clinical services. There is a busy and variable caseload, which will require you to be adaptable, be an excellent communicator and have the ability to work well under pressure.

The successful applicant will be involved in specialist Cardiology consultations, diagnostic investigations (e.g. echocardiograms and ECG Holter analysis), minimally invasive cardiac procedures (e.g. pacemaker implantation) and inpatient management as well as clinical research. They will also be involved on our Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Clinic.

We are seeking an individual with a passion for nursing and problem-solving, and the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, students and clients. The ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision is essential.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our nursing team at the Queens Veterinary School Hospital.

The referral hospital is a very fast-paced environment which requires you to be adaptable with the ability to work well under pressure.

The role will be to provide nursing to an excellent standard in the Small Animal Wing. The small animal wing consists of four dog, two cat, critical care and isolation wards housing an average of 15-25 patients during the overnight period.

We are looking for nurses who can cover 24/7 working on a 7 week, generous and attractive rotating shift pattern, covering core, early, late, night shifts and time off (includes 10 day off shift period after weeks of nights). Weekend working (2 in 7).

The role in Small Animal inpatients will include surgical, medical and critical care nursing (training can be given in critical care procedures). Cleaning, hygiene and administration duties linked to inpatient care will form a reasonable percentage of the time. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, so we are seeking individuals with a passion for nursing, with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, students and clients. The ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision is essential. Shifts have student nurse and Veterinary Care Assistant support.

We have an exciting opportunity for a personable and effective service administrator to work in the newly restructured Client Services function of the Queen's Veterinary School Hospital (QVSH). This is a part-time position, preferably Monday and Tuesday although some flexibility may be available, that will take part in an early and late rota (hospital reception opening hours are currently Monday to Friday 8.00am - 6:00pm).

The Service Administrator is an integral part of the Small Animal Hospital and will support either the:- Surgical Team (Soft Tissue Surgery, Orthopaedics (incl physiotherapy) and Oncology) or the Medical Team (Medicine, Cardiology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology and Neurology). As part of the wider Client Service team the successful recruit will work alongside the Client Service Administrators to support the Small Animal Hospital team in support of its mission to deliver excellence in client service and clinical veterinary student teaching.

The Service Administrator will act as liaison between the front of house service and the Services within the hospital to provide an enhanced service for both clients and vets. They will also be responsible for ensuring that clients are billed accurately and promptly and that all communication and liaison with external parties is carried out efficiently and effectively.

The Service Administrator will aim to provide a first-class customer service in what can often be a very challenging environment. The role will involve supporting clients during difficult conversations including diagnosis of patients, treatment (or non-treatment) and subsequent payment of accounts.

You should have experience of working in a busy administrative role, have excellent communication skills, be accurate and have an eye for detail.

You must be efficient and experienced in Microsoft Office packages and have the ability to establish professional and effective working relationships with the wider team.

Excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and flexibility are all essential parts of the role.
