Our Services
Our team of four equine veterinary surgeons at Cambridge Equine Clinic provides a comprehensive, mobile, first opinion service - 24 hours a day and 365 days of the year - within an approximately 40-mile radius of our practice at the University of Cambridge Veterinary School. Most cases can initially be seen at the owners’ premises. Any cases requiring further diagnostic evaluation or in-depth treatment can be brought into the clinic, or if appropriate, referral to a nearby Equine Hospital for specialist care. Services available on the owner’s premises include:
- 24-hour emergency call out
- Monday-Friday consultations by appointment
- Routine healthcare, including vaccination, annual health checks, worming, passports and micro-chipping
- Geriatric medicine
- Dental care, from routine annual checks and rasping to diagnosis and treatment of dental problems
- Pre-purchase examination
- Castration
- Lameness evaluation
- Radiography, ultrasound and endoscopy (including gastroscopy)
- Shockwave treatment and therapeutic laser
- Reproductive care, pre-breeding examination, artificial insemination, pregnancy diagnosis and foal health checks
- Group/yard visits accommodated
- Attendance at events, shows or pony club can be arranged
- Three for free’ – free visit when consultations provided for 3 or more horses on the same yard
