The Diagnostic Imaging Department at the QVSH works closely with all other departments of the Vet School, to provide a comprehensive imaging service. Clinicians have access to traditional imaging modalities alongside newer cross-sectional and nuclear imaging techniques, to assist in diagnosing disease and assessing the effectiveness of patient treatments.
We are happy to discuss any imaging-related questions you may have. We also have a diagnostic imaging interpretation service for external veterinarians (we accept DICOM images [either emailed directly, via cloud or burned CD via mail] or radiographs for interpretation).
Services offered include
• Digital Radiography and Ultrasound including echocardiography
• Scintigraphy
• On site small animal MRI
• On site 16 slice CT scanner in conjunction with Cambridge Radiology Referrals
• Digital Fluoroscopy and Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) for interventional procedures, including minimally invasive coil embolisation of intrahepatic portosystemic shunts, and cardiac catheterisation.
