The Queen's Veterinary School Hospital

This is Wilson, a French Bulldog who has overcome incredible odds thanks to the expertise and care of the team at The Queen’s Veterinary School Hospital (QVSH).

Wilson faced severe breathing challenges early in life due to BOAS (Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome). Despite surgeries in France, his condition worsened, leaving his family desperate for help. That’s when they turned to The QVSH, renowned not only for our surgical expertise but also for our ground-breaking genetic research into BOAS.

In October 2021, just before his second birthday, Wilson underwent surgery at The QVSH. The results were life changing. For the first time, he could breathe easily, sleep peacefully, and walk alongside his golden retriever sister. Today, Wilson is thriving at five years old, full of life and energy.

Wilson’s owner, Danielle, says, “I cannot thank The QVSH enough for literally giving Wilson his life back. Seeing him breathe and sleep peacefully brought us to tears of relief.”
