Cambridge Equine is evolving!
Cambridge Equine Clinic are delighted to announce significant and positive changes to our equine clinical services. Formerly known as Cambridge Equine Hospital, Cambridge Equine Clinic will continue to be a not-for-profit practice and dedicated to providing caring, high-quality, individualised and cost-effective ambulatory and clinic-based services to equine patients within 40 miles of our outstanding clinical facilities at Cambridge Vet School.
To support practice expansion further upcoming investment in the equine service at Cambridge will include recruitment of another experienced equine vet to complement the team, bringing in new practice management software to achieve the highest standard of clear and intuitive client services from our practice support team and introduction of systems to allow remote access to patient records whilst seeing cases away from the practice.
The transition from equine hospital to an expansion of our equine practice and clinic -based services has been driven both by changing requirements for undergraduate teaching by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and by the Department of Veterinary Medicine’s ambitious vision to expand the teaching of equine general practice here at the vet school. Alongside our clinical services we play a vital role in inspiring the vets of the future by providing essential clinical experience and teaching in equine general practice to our final year vet students as part of their rotations so that the students have the day-one skills they need to successfully transition into their careers as graduate vets.
We very much appreciate the continued support of our clients and welcome those equine-owners who are not yet clients to join with us and become part of a very special equine institution.
