Repeat Prescriptions

At QVSH General Practice, we want it to be easy to request repeat prescriptions for your pet’s ongoing medication. To ensure your pet continues to receive the treatment they need, please follow the guidelines below when requesting medication.

How to Request a Repeat Prescription

  • Phone: Call us at during our opening hours - 01223 330945

  • In Person: Visit the practice to place a request with our reception team.

Prescription Processing Time

  • Please allow 2 working days for your prescription request to be processed.

  • If your pet requires an urgent prescription, please contact us, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Prescription Requirements

  • Your pet must be under our care and have had a recent health check (usually within the last 6–12 months, depending on the medication).

  • Some medications require regular monitoring - our team will inform you if an appointment is needed before renewal.

  • Written prescriptions are available upon request if you prefer to source medication from a pharmacy. (Prescription fee will apply.)

Collecting Your Prescription

  • Once ready, prescriptions can be collected from our reception during opening hours.

  • If someone else is collecting on your behalf, please inform us in advance.
