The Queen's Veterinary School Hospital

Our commitment to sustainability

At The Queen’s Veterinary School Hospital, sustainability is one of our key priorities. Our Green Impact Committee is leading the way with a comprehensive Hospital Sustainability Plan, introducing initiatives to reduce our environmental footprint and enhance our green credentials. Key efforts include reducing disposable materials usage, like single-use plastics and disposable surgical textiles as well as finding innovative ways to reuse clinical and practical materials in our teaching areas.

The wider Vet School Green Group, is a collaboration with both students and staff, and extends this commitment across the entire veterinary school and hospital. Together, we are working towards a Green Impact Award and environmental accreditation for the Department.

Through these efforts, we are building a greener future for our hospital - one that helps to protect the planet while continuing to provide exceptional clinical practice.
