Samantha Bell BSc Cert VNECC RVN

Neurology Specialist Nurse

I qualified from Harper Adams University in 2013, and spent several years in general practice learning as much as I could from some fantastic teams. I then made the leap into referral nursing and worked as a ward nurse at the Animal Health Trust in Newmarket which grew my passion for neurology, rehabilitation and emergency and critical care. Following the closure of the AHT in 2020, I was lucky enough to come to QVSH as a ward nurse, and have since been able to pursue my love of Neurology by becoming the neurology Specialist nurse.

My favourite thing about my job is getting to know the patients in our care and their families and the joy of reuniting them after a stay with us in the hospital. My particular interest is in spinal disease and I am currently undertaking the Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner courser un by the University of Tennessee and Veterinary Academy of Higher Learning to be able to provide even better rehabilitation to these patients. there is no better feeling than seeing a patient that arrived unable to stand, being able walk out the door with their family (even if they are a bit wobbly!).
