We’re delighted to share some fantastic news from within our own team - Matt Scott, our very own in-house Veterinary Physiotherapist, has been elected as the new Chair of the National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists (NAVP).
Matt has served as an active executive member of the NAVP for the past two years and was recently nominated by several peers to stand for Chair. Following a successful election at the Association’s AGM, he officially stepped into the role - marking a significant milestone in both his professional journey and for the profession, as he becomes the first male Chair.
Matt says “I am incredibly honoured to have been voted in as Chair, particularly because of the calibre of those that have come before me. I will work hard to continue the great progress made over the last few years and to help the Executive Committee fulfil the goals for 2025 set out at the AGM. I'm also really excited to work with the whole executive team on implementing some brand-new projects.”
In taking on this position, Matt may well be one of the youngest people ever to hold the role - an inspiring achievement that speaks to his dedication, expertise, and leadership in the field. He brings with him a passion for education and professional development and is already working with the Executive Committee to shape the NAVP’s vision for the future.
Please join us in congratulating Matt on this incredible achievement. We’re proud to have such a committed and dedicated professional representing both our team and the wider physiotherapy community at a national level.
