David Williams MA MEd VetMD PhD DECAWBM(AW) CertVOphthal CertWEL FHEA FRCVS

Associate Lecturer in Veterinary Ophthalmology

Personal profile
David qualified from Cambridge Veterinary School in 1988 knowing from the start that he wanted to devote his professional career to veterinary ophthalmology.

He worked at the Animal Health Trust and the Royal Veterinary College where he undertook a PhD in ocular immunology. This remains one of his main interests, although cataract epidemiology and exotic animal ophthalmology are also high on the list! David has written books and book chapters in ophthalmology and spoken on the subject internationally. He also has interests in animal welfare and how his Christian faith impacts on his veterinary work. He runs the ophthalmology clinic at the Queen´s Veterinary School Hospital and is happy to see any cases or discuss them by phone (07939074682) or e-mail (dlw33@cam.ac.uk) if referral is not an immediate option.

You might be interested to peruse his website at www.davidlwilliams.org.uk where interesting cases are posted to let you see the cases he examines.
