Professional history

An graduated from the University of Ghent in Belgium, she holds a Certificate in Small Animal Internal Medicine (CEAV) from France and completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the National Veterinary School of Alfort in Paris. She pursued a residency in veterinary neurology at the University of Ghent and a research fellowship focused on congenital myasthenia at Oxford University, which resulted in a DPhil in Clinical Neurosciences. She is particularly interested in neuromuscular diseases and electrodiagnostics.

An is currently developing novel diagnostic tests to improve the diagnosis of seronegative myasthenia gravis in dogs.  Click here for more information about this study.
