Cassia Hare MA VetMB AFHEA DACVP (Clin Path) MRCVS

Principal Clinical Pathologist

Cassia studied Veterinary Medicine at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, graduating in 2014. After a short period working in small animal first opinion practice, she returned to Cambridge to undertake a rotating internship followed by a residency in veterinary clinical pathology, which she completed in 2019. She is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathology (ACVP) and has worked in both commercial and university laboratories. As Principal Clinical Pathologist at the QVSH, she enjoys a mixture of clinical duties, laboratory management, teaching and clinically focused research.

Research

Cassia's research interests include:

- Cytology Immunology

- Novel diagnostic tests in canine and feline lymphoproliferative disease, including flow cytometry

- The role of the laboratory in antimicrobial stewardship
