Julia graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2011 and spent the following year in first opinion companion animal practice in York. She subsequently returned to the University of Cambridge to undertake further training in small animal surgery and became a European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery in 2018, with RCVS Specialist status being attained the following year. She has worked in a private referral centre as a soft tissue surgeon for 2 years before taking up her current role with the Department. Julia enjoys all aspects of soft tissue surgery, however her particular interests include brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome, thoracic surgery and abdominal surgery.
